Elevator Fun
I attended LA’s Largest Business Networking Mixer the other week at the Shrine Auditorium. Big Networking Events are just like Knott’s Bery Farm for me! Not only did I run into a couple of my online friends but I met a WHOLE bunch of brand-new , and learned about some brand new referal for Networking Event Finders.com. However a curious thing occured on the way to the auto I parked my car on the top floor of the building (got a spectacular photo of the Los Angeles skyline) and at the finish of the mixer, when a quite a few of us piled into the elevator what do you think happened? As The Govenator puts it, the “Good, Bad & the Ugly” of the California budget issue has been resolved and it occurs like massive cutbacks are anticipatedhere. What that means your business networking events are going to see additional jobseekers, pink “slip mixers” and career expos than ever (assuming there are still jobs to be had). In conversations I’ve exchanged with networking groups across the country, I’ve learned that they are all experiencing a rise in the quantity of people who attend who list themselves as “In Transition”.
